What is nervous system architecture, and how is it different from traditional executive coaching?

Traditional executive coaching works at the level of strategy, behaviour, and skill. It assumes the problem is a knowledge gap or a habit gap. Nervous system architecture works at the level of the body's threat-response system — the part of you that decides, before your conscious mind does, whether you are safe enough to lead, to rest, to be seen, or to stop performing.

High-functioning burnout, chronic dysregulation, and identity collapse are not fixed by better time management or a new morning routine. They are fixed by rebuilding the internal architecture — the nervous system patterns, the identity structures, and the somatic responses — that are running your leadership from the inside out.

This is not coaching. This is architecture.

What is high-functioning burnout, and how do I know if I have it?

High-functioning burnout is the state of performing at a high level externally while collapsing internally. You meet every deadline. You lead every meeting. You appear composed, capable, and in control. And behind closed doors — at 4AM, in the car, in the shower — you are exhausted in a way that sleep does not fix.

The markers are specific: chronic low-grade anxiety that has become your baseline, a sense of performing a version of yourself rather than being yourself, the inability to switch off even when you have permission to, and a quiet fear that if you stop performing, you will disappear — professionally and personally.

Is this therapy or coaching?

Neither, and both in the sense that it draws from the most rigorous frameworks of each. This is not therapy — we do not diagnose, treat, or manage clinical conditions. This is not traditional coaching — we do not set goals, track KPIs, or build accountability structures around behaviour change.

This is a precision architectural process that works at the intersection of neuroscience, somatic intelligence, identity psychology, and leadership strategy. The RAMS Framework™ was developed over 20 years of working with executives, military personnel, and high-performers across 14 countries.

What is the RAMS Framework™?

The RAMS Framework™ is the proprietary methodology developed by Baz Porter over two decades of working with high-performing executives, military leaders, and entrepreneurs. RAMS stands for Regulate, Architect, Master, Sustain.

It is a four-phase process: first, we regulate the nervous system so the body is no longer operating from a chronic threat state. Second, we architect a new identity structure — one built on who you actually are, not who you were trained to perform. Third, we master the expression of that identity in your leadership, your relationships, and your business. The Silent Collapse Diagnostic is a precision assessment tool that identifies the specific patterns of nervous system dysregulation, identity fragmentation, and performed leadership that are driving your burnout. I have tried therapy and coaching before. Why would this be different?

You can understand your patterns completely and still be unable to change them, because the nervous system operates below the level of conscious thought. Until the body feels safe — genuinely safe, not intellectually convinced of safety — the patterns persist.

How long does it take to see results?

Most clients report a tangible shift in their nervous system baseline within the first two to three weeks. This is not a mindset shift — it is a somatic one. You will notice it in how you wake up, how you respond under pressure, and how you relate to your own performance.

What does a typical engagement look like?

For the Identity Reset Intensive (Gold), the engagement begins with the Silent Collapse Diagnostic — a comprehensive assessment that maps your specific patterns of dysregulation and performed identity. This informs the entire 12-week process.

The programme includes six private 1:1 sessions with Baz, weekly group immersion sessions, the complete RAMS Framework™ protocol, somatic regulation practices, identity architecture work, and four weeks of post-programme integration support.

Sessions are conducted virtually. The cohort is limited to eight women to ensure the depth of work required. This is not a group coaching programme. It is a precision architectural process that happens to include a small group of peers at the same level of commitment.

Is this work confidential?

Completely and unconditionally. All client relationships are governed by a strict confidentiality agreement. Nothing discussed in sessions, in the diagnostic, or in the group environment is shared outside of the engagement. No testimonials are requested without explicit written consent. No identifying information is ever used in marketing or public content without your direct approval.

This is a non-negotiable standard of the practice.

How do I apply, and what happens after I apply?

If there is a potential fit, you will be invited to a private conversation with Baz — not a sales call, but a genuine assessment of whether this work is right for you at this point in time.
